Screen Share Comparison

Use this page to compare twoseven’s screenshare offering with other, browser-based screenshare alternatives.

TwoSeven provides two HD resolutions, 720p and 1080p, as well as two different video encodings, H.264 and VP8. In our tests, VP8 has been the superior encoding and thus we recommend that you use that when possible. The only scenario where you may want to fall back to H.264 is if you anticipate users with old mobile devices to be participating in your session.

Every option had the same video which was allowed to play from start to end. The result was screen-recorded using FFmpeg and cropped to be 1520 frames in total. Some of these comparisons go out-of-sync due to the platform not being able to stream video consistently at 30 frames-per-second. You should be able to observe these visually as choppiness in the video.
